In 2002, the board of trustees created a membership in the foundation, available by invitation to individuals who are interested in the organization’s purpose and objectives. Members may enroll in one of four categories, viz., Life Member, Benefactor, Sustaining Member, and Contributing Member, and have the satisfaction of knowing that they are contributing to the growth and welfare of a wonderful sport.

In addition, all members are entitled to vote in the election of the board of trustees (and to serve on the board themselves), to attend biennial gatherings at choice locations, and to have their names and racing colors appear in each annual edition of American Steeplechasing, the sport’s official record book.
